This is a lovely flatware chest and very well made. The finish is mirror polished and the oval decoration on top it very pretty. The box holds 12 place settings easily, with room for more. Inside, the lid has 12 slots to hold dinner knives. The bottom section has three single slots at the top for longer serving items, and 9 slots down the middle for stacks of 6 to 7 pieces such as spoons and forks. It is lined with red felt-like fabric. The flatware pieces are secure and do not slide around so they are protected from scratching each other. This is a necessity for keeping your flatware beautiful.
